The Pablo Ramirez Foundation Zane Timpson Scholarship
One full scholarship to the YMCA Skate Camp at Sequoia Lake
This year, we will be funding one camp scholarship honoring pro skater Zane Timpson who tragically passed away in November of 2021. Pablo and Zane were best friends and we couldn't be more honored to donate one full scholarship for a financially deserving camper for a week-long session at the YMCA Skate Camp at Sequoia Lake.
Zane was a former camper at Sequoia Lake, as well as a visiting pro with the Bones team in 2021. He loved the camp and how it allowed kids to immerse themselves in nature, skateboarding, and so much more. For over 25 years, YMCA Skate Camp has been a second home to skateboarders from all over the world. We believe it embodies all aspects of skateboarding culture including art, creativity, and most importantly, community. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with them in giving youth the opportunity to pursue their passions.

About Zane
WE ALL KNOW ZANE FOR BEING AN ABSOLUTE GENIUS ON A SKATEBOARD. If you’ve ever seen his parts or were blessed with the opportunity to share a session with him, you were an incredibly lucky human being. Most people don’t realize how multifaceted Zane actually was. The depth of his character carried us all to push our boundaries not only in skateboarding but in all different forms of self expression. What he really loved and knew best was words. He was a poet, and his dark humor always brought catharsis or an existential giggle to the fact that whatever was going on wasn’t that serious at all. It took the edge off of life and definitely changed peoples perspectives on what matters most. When nothing matters you get to pick exactly what’s most important to you and focus on that. That’s what he did, and he was the best at it. Zane did more for his close friends and family than anyone. In the years he spent filming and editing skateboard videos, he would go above and beyond to ensure that what they would translate to the world actually made sense.
