The Pablo Ramirez Foundation + Brooklyn Skate Garden is pleased to install the “Life is Beautiful Mural” our first mural painted & dedicated to Pablo Ramirez @psplifff
We partnered with Brooklyn artist Eric Friedensohn @efdot & collaborated with @nycparks & @oldstonehousebklyn We did everything Pablo loved: painting, skateboarding, gardening & listening to mad good music. A special thanks goes out to all the BSG & PRF volunteers as well as to everyone who came out to share their positivity, skateboard, and of course those of you that lent a hand to help paint this amazing mural. This is just the beginning of many more skatepark murals to come valuing the ethos of the Brooklyn Skate Garden: an all inclusive community of skateboarders who dream to create a world class skate garden in Brooklyn, NYC incorporating art, gardening & music as a way to bring communities closer together.

Golconda Gardening & Park Clean Up with Nike & The Harold Hunter Foundation
We were so proud last week to collaborate with @haroldhunterfoundation and @nikelab_official @nikeSB.We continue to shepherd our #nycskateparks in bringing the skate community together. The mission of the BSG is one of activism, sustainability and positivity. We love bringing together an all-inclusive environment for skaters of all ages.
It didn’t take much for everyone to pick up a broom, start weeding and clean up our beloved FatKid @goldondaskatepark. Changes happen when the entire community gets involved.

Waller Skate Jam - Saturday February 8th - 3PM
We’re hosting an open all inclusive skate jam in partnership with FTC. Come skate with us and enjoy an afternoon at Waller Street Skate Spot in Golden Gate Park.

Come celebrate with us as we launch Pablo’s Foundation on the weekend of Pablo’s Birthday (2-10-1993)
Music, Art + Celebration, all the things that Pablo loved. This is going to be a suggest donation fundraiser and benefit with art and posters available. Music set by Tommy Guerrero. We are proud to work with many of Pablo’s friends, in creating an art show curated by Elyse Gil. All proceeds of the benefit will go towards the mission of Pablo’s Foundation.

Brooklyn Skate Garden Mural Planning Workshop

The Pablo Ramirez Foundation + Brooklyn Skate Garden FREE Mural Planning Workshop in partnership with The Old Stone House at MS 51 Washington Skatepark 10 am-12 noon. Do you love skateboarding and street art? Have you ever imagined tagging, spray painting or painting your ideas on a large skate park wall for everyone to see? Do something to make a difference and shape the way our skateparks look by getting involved. Come learn how to design and create the 1st BSG Art mural dedicated to the late skater Pablo Ramirez @psplifff . This workshop will be led by artist and skateboarder Eric Friedensohn (@efdot) and @LolaTheIllustrator Come learn about the mural making process and what it takes to make one. NOTE: We won't be painting the mural, but planning it. You will be able to draw and paint your ideas on paper, PLUS you can take them home and share with your friends and family. Skate and clean up session afterwards weather permitting. Wake up early, space will be be limited RSVP Free Breakfast + Hot Chocolate generously provided by @naturallydeliciousnyc

Herve Riou, Pablo’s Stepdad, is leading the planning behind a springtime skate jam (tentative date Sat April 25, 2020) celebrating Pablo's life and the coming of spring. The Pablo Ramirez Foundation + Brooklyn Skate Garden will be hosting an all inclusive skate jam, open to everyone. We are excited about creating a dynamic event where, we can come together as a community and plant and garden, mural design and skate!!! Contact Herve Riou if you want to be involved and/or attend the meeting: We are looking for people that have experience in events, graphic design, marketing, PR, have contacts in the skate community and in the arts, music and or gardening. All skills and levels welcome. Lite bites will be served.
